The Big Feastival was set up by Blur's Alex James and famous chef, Jamie Oliver, in 2011. It offers a fun-packed weekend for all the family with a mixture of live music and mouth-watering food and drink, all taking place in the idyllic setting of Alex James' farm in the Cotswold countryside.  Not only has the festival attracted many prodigious musical acts over the years, but it also offers the chance to meet and learn from some of the most talented and ingenious chefs of our era. The cookery school offers a jam-packed series of engaging, hands-on classes where you can learn new and traditional cooking techniques.

There is also the Healthy Living Zone which is dedicated to the art of healthy eating and well-being. The wellness kitchen offers a specially curated schedule of talks and tutorials and

head to the Action Station for pop-up fitness boot camp style classes, laughing yoga and house of voga (80s Vogue dancing crossed with yoga!)

We also love The Royal Agricultural University's sensory experience for children educating them in "from field to fork."

What we love about this festival.

It raises money for Jamie Oliver's Better Food Foundation, which helps change the lives of disadvantaged young people. We also love the fact that Alex James has asked Child Executive Officers (CEOs) from a local primary school to help plan the festival.

Camping and Glamping Options

As well as the general camping areas, there is a campervan area and also a Yurtel. This is a boutique camping option in a private field with its own parking and porter, luxury loos, a spa and 24 hour concierge. There is also a family camping area which is run on a first come first served basis.

The festival has, in the past, partnered with Hasbro toys meaning that a range of toys have been on offer, such as Play Doh, My Little Pony and Transformers.
