VICTORIOUS ANNOUNCES LINEUP FOR FREE KIDS'ARENA
Victorious last year was, for us, one of the best festivals in terms of what was on offer for children and families. This year looks set to be another cracking year as the lineup of performances, workshops and activities is announced for this year's event. Victorious takes place across the late August Bank holiday Weekend, 25-27 August 2017, and is the UK’s biggest metropolitan festival. It is also undoubtedly one of the best value, family-friendly music festivals in the UK with particularly low ticket prices for children. 5-15 year old tickets cost £8 a day and under 5 years are able to join in the fun for just £1 with all activities in the Kids' Arena absolutely free!
The dedicated Kids' Arena, open on the Saturday and Sunday of the festival, will this year offer various craft activities, kiddioke for any budding Justin Biebers in the crowd, climbing walls, face painting and much, much more. The Kids' Arena stage will boast headline performances from CBeebies star, Mr Bloom and story time with everyone’s favorite Peppa Pig and George. Kids will also get the chance to meet and greet Peppa and George and PAW Patrol heroes, Chase and Skye on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th August.
Brand new for this year, Portsmouth College will be sponsoring an 10+ area with a host of activities to keep the big kids entertained. Activities include a gaming zone, University of Portsmouth science tent, the ‘Ready to Rock School’ and a tennis & Action Blast Nerf Arena for those keen to let off some energy. Also on offer for all ages are circus skills sessions, for all those feeling acrobatic.
Held in the spectacular seaside location of Southsea overlooking the Solent, Victorious is truly a family-friendly festival which also boasts top-notch live acts, Madness, Stereophonics, Elbow, Franz Ferdinand, Jake Bugg, Feeder, Slaves, Shy FX + Stamina MC, Turin Brakes, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Will Joseph Cook, Slow Readers Club, Dan Caplan and Matt Wills. It has an enormous free kids' arena, bustling markets, real ale, real food and a fantastic atmosphere, with something for everyone.
Early bird tickets are still available at £30 for Friday and £37 Saturday / Sunday. Victorious is certainly one of the most affordable family-friendly festivals in the UK., with all activities and attractions in the Kids' Arena included in the ticket price.
