CORNWALL'S LITTLE ORCHARD CIDER & MUSIC FESTIVAL RETURNS

February 14, 2017

Little Orchard Cider & Music Festival returns to the beautiful grounds of Healey’s Cyder Farm on Friday 8th - Sunday 10th September 2017. A three-day event fusing live music, secret cider walks, tractor rides and glamping in hobbit huts, Little Orchard Cider & Music Festival has quickly become one of the most magical experiences in the Cornish calendar. Moving into its fifth year, the festival is thrilled to announce The Wurzels as official headliners, and welcomes back the BBC Introducing Stage.

Following a sell-out year, Little Orchard Cider & Music Festival will once again take up residence in Cornwall’s very own working cider farm. Jam-packed with a variety of things to see and do from morning through to night, there’s a lot more to this boutique festival than just apples.

Taking to the stage on Saturday evening and no strangers to the southwest, The Wurzels will headline the weekend’s festivities with their chart topping tunes. For those wanting to hear new music from across the region, the BBC Introducing Stage will showcase Cornwall’s freshest talent with a string of live performances across the three-day event.

Following its successful launch in 2016, The Little Orchard Feast Village will return bigger and better than ever. Catering for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the dedicated Feast Village will be home to a selection of local food traders sharing their culinary expertise and delicious cuisine.

No cider festival is complete without cider and with over 100 different options to choose from, festivalgoers will undoubtedly be spoilt for choice. Those with a keen interest to learn more about the local tipples can book a spot on one of the many secret cider walks that take place throughout the weekend.

The working farm turns into a giant playground for small festivalgoers. Tractor rides, face painting, circus workshops, arts and crafts sessions and bouncy castles all feature on the agenda, making it the ultimate September weekend for the whole family.

Festival organiser Ben Hall comments: “Little Orchard Cider & Music Festival is a fantastic weekend for families, friends and couples alike. Each year the festival gets better and better, with new attractions being added and more fun for the children to have. This year’s event was a huge success and it was the first time we have fully sold out. I’m really looking forward to next year especially since we have secured The Wurzels for Saturday night!”

Camping options include the unique Hobbit Huts combine glamping with a fantasy world of dwarves, dragons, trolls and wizards. A magical retreat for renewing festival sparkle, the handcrafted huts come fully equipped with a comfortable bed with bedside table, heating, lighting, a campfire pit with outside furniture and a specially designed boot stand for muddy festival wellies.

Other exciting additions include an eco spa area featuring wood fire hot tubs, morning yoga sessions and comedy hours.

Super Early Bird Weekend Camping Tickets are currently on sale priced at £35 (plus £3.50 booking fee). Entry is free for under 14’s. For further information and to purchase tickets please visit www.cornwallciderfestival.co.uk
