Shambala organisers have dubbed their festival as "Adventures in Utopia" and this festival really does live up to this other-worldly claim. The number one reason people have given for going here is the sense of community that oozes from every inch of the festival arena, twinned with a lack of corporate influence. So, if you're looking to spend a heavenly weekend, with like-minded people then look no further than Shambala.
2016 saw the classic Sister Sledge headline; but, this festival is also all about discovering new music, something else that "Shambalans" say entices them back year after year.
The festival has a great ethical conscience at its core, taking the ground-breaking decision in 2016 to make the arena a meat and fish free zone. Bottled water was also banned in favour of reusable flasks and an abundance of drinking points. We like their style.
So, if an amazingly friendly atmosphere, new music, great food and some rather bizarre, but unforgettable experiences such as power-ballad yoga or a Thriller flash-mob are your thing, then don't delay in booking your adventure in Utopia at Shambala in 2018.
