Deer Shed will showcase its 9th festival in 2018. This is a contemporary music and arts festival, conveniently taking place over the first weekend of the summer holidays. Recently winning a prize at the Festival Congress award for Best Unique Festival Area for its "Monsters vs Machines" area, Deer Shed makes every effort to ensure the entire festival feels different and personal.
Aside from some fantastic live music, including new acts and big names, Deer Shed also offers comedy shows (PG rated so that you don't have to worry about the kids!), some of the best shows from the Edinburgh Festival, vintage art and craft stalls, sports (BMXing, frizbee, footie, kidditch, sock wrestling), science (from forensics to soldering), spoken word, literature, cinema, theatre and over 70 workshops.
There is also a literary tent with a range of authors and speakers reading their work and answering questions from the audience.
If your'e a performer yourself, don't miss your chance to book a slot to perform at the "Busk Stop".
